Jana N. Brooks is the Owner of Forward Minded Management, LLC a new sustainability and event consulting firm based in Baltimore, MD. Most recently, she was the Operations Manager for the newly renovated CFG Bank Arena, formerly the Baltimore Arena where she began their sustainability program. She was previously the Manager of Events and Tenant Services for the Maryland Stadium Authority – owner/operators of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, the B&O Warehouse in Baltimore, MD. Among other duties, Ms. Brooks was responsible for overhauling the sustainability efforts across the Complex, which proved to be beneficial. M&T Bank Stadium earned its LEED Gold certification in 2013 making it the first existing outdoor professional stadium to earn that distinction. Her work also earned Oriole Park its LEED Gold certification and the B&O Warehouse its LEED Silver certification, both in 2018. The diversion rate at Oriole Park went up 18% in one year with her oversight. Jana received her bachelor’s in business and marketing from the University of Baltimore. In addition, she has also completed a Sports Management certification from Columbia University and The George Washington University Event Management Certificate program. Ms. Brooks is active in the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) where she earned her Certified Venue Professional (CVP) designation in June 2018. Finally, Jana is a member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC). She earned her LEED® Green Associate™ designation in June 2023 and Waste Auditor Certification in August 2023.
